Smoker lines
Smoker lines appear above the top lip to just beneath the nose and around the mouth due to the loss elasticity of the skin. This causes aging of the skin which is more common in people that smoke or sunbathe a lot.
This can be effectively treated with hyaluronic acid and no surgery. With the use of dermal fillers (hyaluronic acid) we can correct, restore lost facial volume and in some cases completely eliminate this lines improving skin health and youthfulness.
Dr Bassanini combines different techniques using needle and micro cannula to precisely inject filler along specific areas of the smoker lines.
The procedure is PAINLESS if a dental block is given to completely numb the working areas making the entire procedure pain free. Local anaesthetic can also be given in the form of topical cream and combined inside the dermal filler.
Initially the skin may become a bit red and inflamed although this usually subsides within 48-72 hours.
Results are evident immediately.
The treatment of smoker lines can last up to 6 months but depending on lifestyle in some cases can last up between 9 to 12 months on repeated treatments.
